Meet the San Diego Team Behind Aspen Attic Insulation San Diego

Our San Diego crew is small on purpose. Every tech you meet has been background-checked, identity-verified, and trained to the Threshold Standard before they ever set foot in your attic. We don’t subcontract. We don’t send strangers. The people below are the ones who show up at your door in a clean marked uniform, photo ID badge clipped to the shirt, with their name and photo already sent to your phone before the visit. You’ll know who’s coming, and if anyone else arrives, the visit is free.

Our People

Miguel R. – Lead Technician

Miguel has been running insulation crews in San Diego County for 14 years, eight of them with Aspen. He’s the guy who figures out why your upstairs bedroom runs ten degrees hotter than the rest of the house in August. He holds Owens Corning and Johns Manville installer certifications and specializes in retrofitting older homes in Clairemont and La Mesa that still have original 1960s fiberglass batts. His specialty is air sealing – he’ll find the gaps around can lights and top plates that most crews miss. Off the clock, Miguel rebuilds vintage dirt bikes and loses arguments with his teenage daughter about who gets the garage.

Dana K. – Senior Installer, Spray Foam Specialist

Dana has seven years in the trade and runs our spray foam jobs across San Diego. She’s certified on Icynene and Demilec open-cell and closed-cell systems, which matters because spray foam is a chemistry job as much as a construction job. Mixing temperatures, humidity, substrate prep – get any of it wrong and the foam doesn’t cure right. Dana’s the person who catches those problems before they become your problem. She grew up in National City and still lives there. Most weekends she’s surfing at Imperial Beach or coaching her nephew’s Little League team.

Chris T. – Service Coordinator

Chris is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when your attic hatch just fell through the ceiling and you’re standing in a pile of blown-in fiberglass. He’s been with Aspen for five years and before that ran dispatch for a plumbing company in North Park, so he’s heard every emergency question a homeowner can ask. He schedules every job, sends the tech name and photo before each visit, and writes up the exact price before any work starts. If the number on the quote and the number on the invoice ever differ, Chris has failed – and he’ll tell you that himself. He’s a Padres season ticket holder and unreasonably optimistic about next year.

Anthony P. – Apprentice Installer

Anthony joined the crew two years ago through a veterans’ job placement program out of San Diego City College. He served six years in the Navy, mostly out of Naval Base San Diego, and the transition from shipboard firefighting to attic insulation makes more sense than you’d think – both are about moving carefully in tight, hot spaces and not cutting corners. He works alongside Miguel and Dana, learning the full range of what we do: blown-in cellulose, fiberglass batts, and spray foam prep. Anthony grew up in Chula Vista and can tell you which taco shop on Broadway is actually worth the line.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person above works to the Threshold Standard, which is how Aspen Attic Insulation does things at every location across the Threshold Group family. Garrett Sloane, the owner here in San Diego, holds the crew personally accountable to it. The Threshold Standard means each tech is background-checked, identity-verified, and shows up in a clean marked uniform with a photo ID badge. It means the price you get in writing before work starts is the price you pay after the job is done. It means material selection isn’t whatever’s on the truck – with eight brands on hand including Rockwool, Knauf, GreenFiber, and CertainTeed, we match the product to the house, not the other way around. And it means every repair is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing, covering labor and materials for a full year. If a repair fails, we come back a second time free of charge. That’s not a sales line. It’s a written commitment, and the crew named on this page is the one who honors it.
